Gluten Free Homemade Cornbread
Ingredients:
3 cups of cornmeal
Salt (to taste)
50 grams of butter (room temperature)
90 grams of milk
500 grams of boiling water
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine the cornmeal, salt, butter, and milk. Mix everything together using a wooden spoon until well combined.
Gradually add the boiling water while stirring to avoid lumps.
Transfer the mixture into a baking pan. Press the top gently with your hands to smooth it out, similar to shaping a tart.
Tip: Wet your hands with a little water to prevent the dough from sticking to your fingers.
Mark the spots where you plan to slice the cornbread, like a pizza, by gently scoring the surface.
Preheat the oven to 250°C (480°F). Bake for 5 minutes.
Reduce the temperature to 200°C (390°F) and continue baking for 1 hour.
After 1 hour, remove the cornbread from the oven and allow it to cool before slicing.
